We recently presented at the HR Tech Summit, which has been labelled as ‘Sydney’s Leading HR Tech event.’

It was certainly buzzing with HR Professionals, software vendors and subject matter experts. The Summit had two concurrent stages, where presentations were presented on topics ranging from presenting a strong business case for HR Tech to the best HR apps. Each stage was well attended for most presentations, and question times allowed audience members to ask pertinent questions that benefited the whole group. By any account, it was a successful HR event.

Some of the highlights of the day were panel discussions – namely one that discussed business cases and how to get your HR software project across the line with senior management.

There were various case studies. Annette Koy from Silver Chef Group discussed the success of their L&D software implementation and the change process that had to occur within the company to have the employees adopt the new software and processes, whilst Toby Naylor discussed the rolling technology strategy that was used at AIG.

Our own Managing Director, Gerard spoke about integrating legacy systems into a single HR system and the pitfalls and traps that HR teams can fall into. To find out more about what he had to say, go here

Exhibitors such as Elmo, Blackboard and Soluim were poised to offer their solutions to delegates and gave advice about how to implement their software.

Although a fairly small conference space, it seemed to kept delegates happy and provided a feeling that it was quite well attended. We recommend you head to this conference next year if you get the chance, as it is well worth it.
